It's a personal experience, mine. It's a very good one. We did 3 different surgeries, and they are all amazing. Stuff and doctors are very kind.

My father had an angiogram at the Interventional Cardiology department of the Glen Hospital, and the whole team was wonderful, very welcoming, polite, professional, and caring. A big thank you to Nurse Véronique for her amazing care before and after the procedure, and to préposée Karminza, whose kindness and reassuring manner stood out. She made the experience very pleasant and caring, even when simply bringing food or comforting other patients. We’re very grateful for the excellent care we received.

Most nurses at the triage do their job correctly and are polite. However, there is one older nurse — he appears to be around 50-60 years old. He could easily pass as a homeless person/junky). He was behaving in a highly restless and erratic manner. Something is clearly wrong with him and his attitude. Last year, despite knowing I was a recent transplant patient and was complaining of severe stomach issues, he questioned why I had come to the hospital and prioritized other patients over me. Stating I was waisting his time. He placed me on the lowest triage level, forcing me to wait over 16 hours. It later turned out that I had a deadly parasite, which caused kidney failure, damage to my recent liver transplant, and eventually led to a large hernia. Recently, my mother went to the emergency department, and unfortunately, that same nurse was at triage again. I believe it was around 3 pm on October 7th 2025. Given my previous experience, we wanted nothing to do with him. I asked for his name in order to file a formal complaint, but staff refused to provide it (which I believe is against hospital policy). As a result, I decided to take a picture of him for identification purposes in a future complaint. He immediately began shouting that I was not allowed to take his picture and threatened to call the police. I was unaware of that rule, so I deleted the photo immediately. I admit that I insulted him out of anger for the harm I believe he contributed to — that was wrong on my part. I then left the hospital calmly. Despite that, he still called the security and had me banned as a visitor from the emergency department. While I acknowledge my mistake, I strongly believe that this nurse’s behavior and professional conduct should be investigated. I have been going to this hospital for over a year for dialysis and have always shown exemplary behavior with the dialysis nurses. Perhaps not as much with certain ICU nurses, but that was only after repeated instances of poor treatment — such as being left in my feces for hours and being ignored when I requested basic care.

Expect delays even if appointment was given. Patients came late on their appointment and many other patients were served first. I didn’t understand the point of giving the appointment of 7:30 while seeing the patient after 10:30. All the hall was empty which was full with patients before my doctor called me. The same doctor and nurse who called me were there since I went there. When asked at reception they gave the excuse that we want patient to be here. I mean for what? just to see everyone else getting called before them. They should better manage their time slots for appointments accordingly. I understand that hospitals waiting times are normal but not for those who are given appointments which is not respected.

My daughter had an emergency echo for pregnancy follow up, we went to the department of gyno-obstetrics echo where a kind secretary named Flore helped us to obtain an appointment immediately and everything went well and the results were reassuring. Thank you MUHC and a big thank you to Flore. .
