It’s a truly wonderful school. I have studied here in my Franciscan program for a while, and during that time I have met great teachers, amazing staff, and an incredibly helpful administration. The cafeteria offers nutritious and tasty food, served by the kindest girls. The auditoriums are filled with natural light and equipped with modern technology. I’ve met many interesting, outstanding people in my classes and even made some friends. Everything about this school inspires you to learn and achieve your goals. I’m writing this review because this school has had a deep impact on me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to study here.

This school is a very convenient one in terms of location, space, infrastructure and playground. Also the best school for the new immigrants to learn French language. Well experienced and very familiar teachers, much cooperative administrative team and much more extra curricular activities are the reasons why there is the least dropped out from school. Recurrently occurring outing program can give a awesome experience and opportunity to learn history, culture, lifestyle of the society for the new immigrants.

I, was walking with my daughter, Marianna, and at 3:00 PM I stopped by the Outremont Adult Education Center to see what language courses were available and where there were information desks for review. I went to one board and looked, then to another. My daughter wanted to go to the bathroom, so I took her there, and when I was returning to the hallway, in 15.05 a security guard came up to me and started talking. I tried to explain to him that I didn't understand what he was saying. He called the person in charge, as I understood it, and a man came up and started asking me something. I said that I didn't understand anything in English or French. He started explaining something again. I told him that I didn't understand you, and I really only know five or seven phrases in English. He started talking again, but with a raised voice and tone. I again answered that I didn't understand you. Again, he began waving his hands in front of me in a loud voice. My daughter and I were stunned, shocked, and then screaming and pointing fingers at me. I took my daughter and we... We didn't flee the war in Ukraine to be insulted and have our dignity humiliated. A corresponding statement has been filed with the police. It has been sent to prosecutors, and an appeal to official television channels is being prepared!!!!

My daughter loves this school and its teachers. It is the first time she feels accepted. Also, the math teacher is excellent and takes more time to ensure she understands. Only issue I have is the disrespectful receptionist or secretary Respect goes two ways. I have left a message at the school and still no return call.

This school is not bad it has starter courses for immigrants to integrate into the province by teaching them the french language the culture and the values of the province. My review will focus mainly on the Secondary part though. As a former student in special education, Finding a school for me was a struggle once put inside of Outremont I found my place the staff is quiet and friendly classes start at 8:15 and end at around 3:30 in the afternoon the students have to teach themselves they all have a book with theories followed by exam each book is around 100-175 pages long and they all bring you a number of credits, for example, the first math book will give you 1 credit and the two final books will give you 2 credits. They also have exams that can give you a level depending on your year for example if you're in secondary 1 in a subject and do a level test you can go to secondary 4-5 (Test De Mise a Niveau) they also have T.E.N.S (Tests d’équivalence de niveau de scolarité) which is a 6 month program that gets you a secondary 5 equivalence. Classes usually last around two hours and you have 3 topics too choose from in your schedule. Phone usage is allowed in class. And fees for books must be paid all programs are recognized by the ministry of education and superior studies.

One teacher that I had was disrespectful to adult students. Her attitude was rude and keep teaching her own way, it doesn’t look like she wants to teach French to the students. She even looks like she’s always tired to teach us. I was at level 1 class, and she was mean to the students who can’t understand. I won’t continue the class anymore, but I will go other school if I want to learn French.
