J’adore cet endroit ! Le Montréal Art Center & Museum est un vrai bijou culturel au cœur de Montréal. Dès qu’on entre, on a l’impression de remonter le temps — le bâtiment date du XIXᵉ siècle et a gardé tout son charme industriel d’origine, avec ses murs de briques et sa lumière incroyable. On sent vraiment l’histoire du lieu, et ça donne une atmosphère unique qu’on ne retrouve nulle part ailleurs. Les expositions sont toujours intéressantes et variées, souvent avec des artistes locaux. C’est un endroit qui respire la créativité et la passion pour l’art. Et puis le bar est tout simplement parfait : chaleureux, accueillant, idéal pour prendre un verre après une visite ou assister à un petit concert. Mention spéciale pour Andrew, qui s'occupe de la gestion du bar et de la restauration. L’ambiance y est conviviale, un peu bohème, et on s’y sent tout de suite bien. Un lieu vivant, authentique et plein de caractère — à la fois musée, espace d’art et lieu de rencontre. Franchement, chaque visite est un plaisir !

I’m so glad that I found this wonderful place by accident. From outside, no one can imagine what the inside of the building looks like. Today they were hosting an artisanal market and it seems that they have rental workshop spaces for local artists as well.

This is the most interesting, eclectic studio ever. A must visit. Beautifully appointed with extensive knowledge and wide range of interest. Looking forward to returning on a Thursday evening for the live entertainment, and sipping a cocktail in one of the multiple intimate bar areas. There are several wonderful spaces available for private functions. This is a spectacular space like no other.

Such a wonderful place! We bumped into the owner/founder/collector/artist while doing our audio tour and he was kind enough to give us a private tour of the whole building. He’s a real visionary and a great story teller.

Amazing and eclectic collection of art, with many local artists represented. Always changing so each visit is a new treat. There are numerous active artist studios in this building so you can't get more local than that. Lots of historical pieces reflecting the history of the city as well. Highly reommended.

I attended the Montreal Art Center and Museum Mothers’ Day Artisan Market and thoroughly enjoyed exploring more of this amazing space, while tasting Chef Domenico’s culinary creations in honour of the event and taking in the live music of Larry singing some original songs. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner of this establishment and learning about his excellent work in the entertainment industry.

Located in a beautiful historic building, this non-profit community art center offers so many amazing things. It also has so much warmth and charm. The piano bar on street level is cozy and classy and the larger event space upstairs is perfect for private and company parties, fundraisers and exhibitions. There are many art and music events happening here monthly. Themed holiday parties and live music events are always amazing. Performers and musicians are often booked for special events in the three bars. The museum is very interesting as well. The permanent private collection includes International, local and regional art, artifacts, photos, paintings and articles. They also provide studio spaces for artists to rent and host drawing and paint classes. As well there is a small movie theatre that often shows classic and popular movies and is also available for private screenings and events. If you live in the neighbourhood or are visiting, I highly recommend a visit. I have had the pleasure of performing for an event here and it was such a wonderful night.
