Went to the Sugar Sammy gala tonight . He hosted 5 AMAZING comedians of the present and boy did the impress! I laughed so much my cheeks are still hurting!! Non stop laugh and a MUST SEE! You won’t be disappointed! #MTLCOMEDYCLUB

I really enjoyed the Montreal All Star Gala last evening. It was all too funny! I loved the broad range of comedians each were hilarious!!! I can’t wait to attend another show. #SugarSammy

Montreal All Star Gala hosted by Sugar Sammy was bold—comedians brave enough to poke at the sensitive sides of human nature. The kind of comedy that takes the piss out of life just enough to lighten the dark times.

Was in town for only 1 night, and a Monday at that. Therefore, I showed up without any expectations and, in the end, had a wonderful time. I got to see several local comedians, a couple from Toronto, as well as a couple all the way from Alberta, so you got a good mix from a good chunk of Canada. The host Ben was hilarious, and so were most of the comics. All were very interesting without exception. At the end I got to sit down with several of the comics afterwards, and they were genuinely very kind, lovely people. My only regret is that I was only in town for 1 day. Otherwise, I would’ve definitely gone to see there next show in 2 days! To all of you at MTL Comedy, good luck and it was a pleasure to chat with you last night! Can’t wait to see MTL Comedy’s travel set in Lyon! 😉 Martin

I can’t speak for all of their events, but the All-Star gala show that I attended was extremely disappointing. The lineup seemed chosen more for identity politics than actual comedic talent. At least three of the five headliners simply weren’t funny, and you could tell by the lack of energy from the crowd. Comedy should be about skill, timing, and making people laugh. Unfortunately, none of which several performers delivered. I wouldn’t recommend this event based on the quality of the acts.

Great show. Arrived early to get a good seat. We were all laughing hysterically with Gino’s act. Jamie was a smooth host, great with the crowd. Some lady in the back was sour however probably not the right scene for her. Oh well. We had a great time
