Boulangerie & Pâtisserie Salerno

I bought small pieces of cake for my friend's birthday, and personally I think that the cake was absolutely good. I felt like they needed a reward for their bakery at some point! The service is very nicely done, they give out the informations you need and make sure when you're ready or not. The atmosphere wasn't crowded when I went there so my order was done quickly, it just took me time because everything just looked so good!

Salerno’s is a local authentic Italian Bakery shop & little corner store that operates with Cash Only! There is an ATM on site, but just bring a handful of dollar bills, and you'll be set to experience the wide variety of freshly baked goods they have to offer. This is also where we got the cake for our baby shower. It was very flavourful. Cheers to the Baker! Their pizza is huge & delicious (only half of it shown in the picture)

Do note that Salerno’s is Cash Only! They have an ATM on site that will charge you $1.50, or worse yet crash when you’re trying to use it, so better to come prepared with your own money. With that out of the way, Salerno’s is a cute Bakery/Pastry shop mixed with a little corner store. It states that it’s open 7 days a week, 24h a day, but I ended up going on a weekend around 3pm. I heard their donuts were good, so that’s what I wanted to try, but there were so many pastries and cakes on display that I was swayed into trying a few different things. The staff member that served me didn’t know the names of the mini pastries on display, but was able to help me in picking out what I wanted by looking around the counter and jostling the tray. I cannot recommend the mini pastries though, because most of them were stale or hard, and the majority of the ones I tried tasted the same. The worst of the bunch is the mini square with green, yellow, and pink cake. That was hard like a rock. I also tried two donuts they had on top, despite some fruit flies landing on a few and sampling the sweet themselves. The dough was very tender, but the dip on top of the donut tasted the same, whether it was the maple or the chocolate dip. However, it was a nice treat and not overly sweet. Altogether, my visit to Salerno’s only set me back $20, which is decent for everything I got! Despite a few things here and there, like stale pastries or flies around the food, I will definitely go back because they have so many options and are decently priced.

Qu'elle découverte ! Boulangerie ouverte 24/24 7/7 rien que pour ça c'est 5 étoiles tant c'est rare à Montréal. Il y a de quoi se régaler en sucré et en salé. Les sandwichs sont excellents, et bien garni. Il y a de la pizza aussi un délice. Et les desserts ! N'en parlons pas. Je vous recommande d'y aller vous ne serez pas déçu.

La plupart des pâtisseries sont très bonnes Les "alfajores de maizena" sont les meilleurs !! Bon gâteau au fromage aussi. Pizza délicieuse Ouvert 24hrs/7jours semaine.

It's a weird store. There are no prices and it's cash only. No prices anywhere, not eaven on the wall, no name tags on the pastries and items eathen... when u go to Tims, Starbucks or any store in the world, u see prices so u can make a decision on how much you want to buy... how do you order at Salerno? the least they can do is put some prices somewhere. Been going there for long time because my partner loves Italian deserts but we both agreed last week we will not go there anymore
