La Bête à Pain

Reviewing the croissant and the atmosphere only: Croissant lacked cooking time in my opinion. It was barely browned on top and lacked the crunchy I'd be looking for. Tasted good otherwise but texture was not there for me. Very good atmosphere to get coffee/brunch with an old friend to catch up. I would come back to try their sandwiches and other pastries.

Nous avons bien mangé @ La Bête à Pain. Il y avait pleins de gens qui mangeaient sur place. L'endroit est très propre. Les toilettes aussi. C'est une Patisserie sur une petite rue tranquille. Nous avons mangé des Sandwish à la dinde, Grilled Cheese, un Gâteau au Chocolat (Royale), une Chocolatine, une Éclaire au chocolat. J'ai pris pour apporter. Les sandwish étaient bon. Le Grilled Cheese était full beurre x12.. le Gâteau au chocolat était très très excellent! Chocolatine très bonne. L'Éclaire au chocolat était ok. Il y a un magasin en arrière vendent de la vaisselle et autres.. Le service était ok. Le temps de faire les sandwish était un peu long mais acceptable. Tout était frais! Si vous êtes dans Griffintown je vous conseil d'aller manger un bon morceau de Gâteau au chocolat Royal Il y a des cadres à vendre dans les toilettes.. We ordered a sandwich of jambon beurre, a sandwich dejuner, a cream puff, hot chocolate and cafe latte. A sandwich was really good. I liked it. The cafe latte and hot chocolate were too light for me. The cream puff was filled of cream. The cream was also too light.

The avocado on toast was good but nothing out of the ordinary and the eggs were hard boiled not soft boiled. Sadly the service was really bad. Rude baker and even ruder cashier. Plus it’s not very clear the first counter is only for takeaway orders.

All of the delicious baked goods are made fresh daily. It's definitely a hidden location, and one of the entrances is thru a furniture store. Dried sausage made excellent gifts for family and friends. Definitely trying their crossiant sandwiches. Kind of a smaller place with limited seating.
